Whitton Baptist Church - About Us

General

We like to think of ourselves as a pretty normal group of people – people all ages and from all walks of life but we have one great thing in common – we all believe in Jesus Christ and are committed to following him as our leader. From children as young as eight through to grandparents as old as eighty eight we’ve got stories of the difference he makes to our lives. Stories of physical and emotional healing; freedom from addiction; peace in the midst of suffering and, most wonderful of all, the knowledge that we’ve been accepted by God and welcomed into his family.

We would love to have you drop by and join us if you near by. Whether you come in the morning or the evening you’ll find a group of people who are seriously happy about God! We try to marry respect for God with a joyful, accepting and friendly feel. Whilst our Sunday services, especially the evening, are geared to have a contemporary feel to them, we try hard not to lose the more traditional aspects of church life as well and often include some of the great classic hymns.

Feel free to have a look at our mission and vision statements if you want to know what makes us tick, but if you can’t wait to do that then in a word, we’re about Jesus! We’re Bible based, good news focused followers of Jesus who want to know and experience him in all his glory and power, and to share Him with others so that they might know the life, joy and peace he brings.
